Southampton Wood Recycling Project - This social enterprise saves wood waste from going to landfill. It provides cheap timber inc. old scaffolding boards, fence panels, free or cheap pallets. They also deliver to the site.

The National Allotment Society (NSALG) - This is the leading national organisation upholding the interests and rights of the allotment community across the UK. They aim to provide, promote and preserve allotments for all. They offer support, guidance and advice to members and those with an interest in allotment gardening.
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) - A great source of information, plants and products for all your growing needs.
Hampshire Federation of Horticultural Societies - The Federation exists to support gardening clubs of all types – from small village clubs who meet a few times a year, to large allotment sites. The site has great information about local horticultural societies, local shows and gardening events.
Gardener's World - A great website with practical advice and information ranging from making a bug hotel, to growing a cut flower garden.
Charles Dowding - An acclaimed innovator of no dig, organic growing since 1983. His original, weed free methods give superb results in both small and large areas. He has written nine books, writes for national and international magazines, runs a YouTube channel, appears on TV and radio including BBC Gardeners World, and teaches extensively at home and abroad.
The Kids Garden - This website has a range of ideas for getting your children involved on your allotment. It's a great activity and educational too. As well as help with digging, teach them a little biology and introduce them to nature in a way that's fun.
Grow Your Own - This monthly magazine also has plenty of advice, about growing fruit and veg, on its website.
